FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: The company have been producing fire fighting monitors and foam proportioning components for over 25 years for major CFR Vehicle manufacturers in the U.K. Europe, USA and Japan.

Having acquired the 6” monitor design rights from Chubb we have subsequently produced and marketed a complete range of products under our own design.

Our products can be found protecting both major and secondary airports throughout the world, along with dockside installation and Jetty systems.

The basis of our system uses the PT2200 6” spherical head turret for mounting a variety of nozzles or branch pipes with capacities up to 10,000 l/min at working pressures up to 14 bar. The system is hydraulically operated for elevation and rotation and is balanced with gas springs for manual operation or manual override in case of hydraulic or power failure.

BRANCH SIZES FOR VEHICLES (ASPIRATING) FB2000, 3000, 4500, 5000, 6000 & 7000. Crash fire rescue vehicle aspirating foam monitors with single or dual output ranging from 2000 to 7000 l/min.

BRANCH SIZES FOR VEHICLES & JETTIES (NON-ASPIRATING) WN6000 and 10000. Non-aspirating foam monitors with fixed output ranging from 6000 to 10,000 l/min.

BRANCH SIZES FOR JETTIES (ASPIRATING) slimjet (3200 1min) and super slimjet (6400 1/min). Aspirating foam monitors with single output.

 

POP UP Vehicle monitor extension system for turret (Pop-Up). This will extend the turret upwards there by giving greater depression angles for fighting fires or spillages closer to the vehicle. Stroke lengths up to 500mm are available. The unit has a 150mm (6”) clear through bore. It is extended by means of hydraulic cylinders, which are controlled by solenoid-operated valves. These systems are equipped with manual override for emergency use.

HYDRAULIC POWER PACKS & VALVES These are normally supplied as 12V or 24V DC systems. The power pack is separate from the valve bank making fitting and installation variable depending on valve bank configuration required. The valves are standard solenoid operated. (Bang/bang).

OPERATOR CONTROL SYSTEM The monitor actions can be controlled with electric joystick controllers linked to the hydraulic system, either in the cab or on the roof or both options. We offer two types:

• Three function type that will control the elevation, rotation and Jaw pattern
• Four function type that will control as the three function, but with the added feature of controlling the dual flow output

MONITOR AUTO-PARKING Auto-parking of the monitor turret and locking system can be integrated with a standard system or with a pop-up unit. This allows the unit to be rotated automatically and locked ready for the vehicle to move off, without the operator leaving the cab.

HEADLIGHTS Turret assemblies can be fitted with either 12V (55W) or 24V (70W) DC spotlights that are mounted each side of the turret barrel.

VISUAL INDICATION SYSTEM Two 70mm Square panel mounted gauges showing elevation and rotation position of the turret barrel relative to the vehicle centre. These gauges are controlled via a small aluminium box, where the gain is adjusted to set the gauges.

FOAM PROPORTIONING SYSTEMS These are offered with aluminium electroless nickel-plating and in various other configurations. Contact our technical department for specific requirements.
